Webcam – They’re fairly inexpensive now and work through  wireless internet at home and can be accessed online from  computer and even works from a phone if you wanted it to.

TRENDnet SecurView Wireless Day/Night Pan/Tilt/Zoom Internet Surveillance Camera TV-IP422W – it was a bit more expensive than others out there, but it actually has an audio function so you can hear if your dog is making hacking sounds, etc. and also it can communicate audibly through the camera speaker if you need to comfort your dog verbally.”

Camp Bow Wow (doggie daycare franchise) sells one for $299.

ADT security system for cameras outside the house but they have capability to place indoor ones as well.
